Hi,

I write a DICOM instance containing a value type tag with the content CONTAINER. As CONTAINER has nine characters, it is filled up with a space (Hex: 43 4F 4E 54 41 49 4E 45 52 20) to 10 characters.

When I use 'Validate Media File(s)...' functionality in the DVT, I get the following warning:

Module: Additional Attributes Module (O)
(0040,A040) CS CS 3 + 10 Value Type CONTAINER

Warning: Attribute (0040,A040) value "CONTAINER " not in list of defined terms list

Am I right to ignore this message or do I really write incorrect DICOM data here?

thanks in advance,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,

I'm assuming you are validating a structured report.

As the validation results show "Additional Attribute Module", I'm assuming you do not have the latest definition files installed.

Can you check if you have the latest definition files (version 1.1.10) installed?

Regards,
Marco
