Following Warning Message is ocurred when I press capture button (Green button) and I can start Capture.

"No such host is known Please specify valid IP Address"

Refer to a attached file.

Network Analyzer and Storage SCP were installed on the same PC.
Network Analyzer inserts automatically IP address of the PC executing Network Analyzer to the Edit box of IP1.

but, If I change the IP Address of IP1, I can capture.

Previous Version (2.8.14) was working well with its own IP Address.

Hi Hykim,

I haven't seen this issue before. What I do know is that the underlying logic has changed a lot since version 2.8.14. Before we captured all the packets that passed the network adapter and filtered later on IP. Now we filter already during the capturing process.
The developer who worked on this is currently with vacation. When he is back I will ask him to look into this.

I assume you are using the latest version of the DICOM Network Analyzer?

Hi...

We installed it on three PCs.
The Warning Message are occurred on two PCs and Network Analyzer was working well on just one PC.

I think it seems this problem is not concerned with capturing policy you mention, because we couldn't start capturing with the Warning Message.


But I failed to find what the problem is.
I think Network Analyzer is influenced by some special environment of PC

We used the latest version (3.2.3) for testing.

If you need our PC environment, don't hasitate to ask.

Well, for some reason the message showed up on my screen during a test. Can you tell me the OS you are running the Network Analyzer on? I saw the message on Windows Vista.

The problem is related to the DNS configuration of your computer. The application performs a DNS query to lookup the IP address of the entered hostname/ip. If there is no DNS configured this will cause an error.
This sounds like a PR for the DICOM Network Analyzer that I will discuss in our next T-Con.

As work around I suggest that you turn of the filter for now.

Hi,

Filter means IP addresses and port number mentioned in Filter groupbox.

Leave it empty IP1, IP2 text boxes and Port Nr text box and then start capturing.
