Hello,
I am using the QR SCP Emulator to test an application that is querying a PACs. I am new to working with DICOMs, but I "think" I have everything correct on my side. When I run it against DVTk, I get an error stating "Error: Type 1 (mandatory) attribute (0010,0020) should be present with at least one value". Directly above this, I have a line showing "(0010,0020) LO - 1 + 0 Patient ID 007". Since 007 is the patient I am looking for, it would appear that this attribute is both present and has a value. Additionally, LO is a Long String, which this value would also seem to accommodate. I have a DICOM in the model that matches this and other parameters in my C-Find, but 0 results are found. I assume it is because of this issue. Does anyone have an idea of what I might be doing wrong with the Patient ID field? Thank you in advance for the reply.

It appears that it is something that I did after all. I was looking through the logs, and found the following:
(0x00100020,"") # Patient ID (0x00100020,"007 ") # Patient ID (0x00100020,"") # Patient ID I found what I did wrong, and corrected it, which got rid of one of the Patient ID tags, and it seems to work. I'm still looking into why it is doubled, but figure it must be something with the was MyDicom creates the IOD with required fields already added. I am still getting no results, and a couple of warnings: Warning: Command and Dataset PDV's found in single P-DATA-TF PDU I am also still not getting any results, although I know the DICOM I am searching for exists in the directory being used as the test case. Oddly, it does not show up when I click the "View information model" button, so this could be something I did wrong setting up the QR SCP Emulator. I would still appreciate any suggestions people may have. Thanks.

I'll give this one more shot, and hope for a reply.
A bit of description on what I am doing. I am trying to use the QR SCP Emulator to test an application that will communicate with a PACs system. I am using a C-Find with a PatientIOD. I am wanting to search by AccessionNumber and PatientID right now, but I am also including the StudyInstanceUID and SeriesInstanceUID, because the QR SCP Emulater gave me an error when I left it off. For my communication, I am using the following: The issue that I am having is that my searches are coming up with 0 results, even though the parameters I am using are copied directly from the DICOM so I know there is not an error. I have tried with three different DICOMs in my model, and none of them are being found. I began removing information, and found that when I sent a search with an empty string for all four fields, I finally got 12 results. This is a bit strange since I have 30 DICOMs in the model. Could I have set up DVTk wrong, or does it sound like there is an error in my code. Or perhaps I am trying to use the QR SCP Emulator in a way that it is not meant to be used. Any response would be appreciated.
