DVTk Editor has been a fantastic tool for us and has saved us in a number of instances. There isn't by chance a way or perhaps even development in the works for batch editing, is there?
We use the Editor most often to clean up when a sonographer has input patient demographics incorrectly or with illegal characters, such that our PACS rejects all the DICOM objects. We have to go into each object one by one and edit the headers so that it can be imported into the PACS. Imagine changing 3-4 rows of a header for 100 objects! Takes almost as long as the actual patient exam!

No at the moment not. However, you might be able to script the changes you would like to apply to DICOM files. With VBS scripting or DVT Scripts you can do this. The scripts can be executed using DVT Command.

are there any plans to implement this feature in future releases? It would be really helpful.

It is not on the roadmap and I don't expect it do be. I do agree that for certain situations this would be a powerful future.
