Hello all:
I was wondering if there is a way to configure dicom anonymizer on the fly so that it will only modify specific tag. By default, it will anonymized Patientname, PatineID and DetectorID. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi DVTk user, In DICOM Annonymizer application, all the attributes defined in DICOM std for annonymization. We can't provide configuration for those attributes because you can't annonymize partially. It will violate the DICOM std. If any user wants to annonymize a DICOM file, he has to annonymize atleast all basic attributes. Regards, Piyush

You can use the DICOM Editor to modify a specific attribute, however it will be a manual action. You can also use a DICOM script in DVT to do the work for you. The last one is partially automated since it would have the filename hard coded in the script. But with some work you could make a wrapper around it to handle that for you.

DICOM Scripts can be executed with DVT (DICOM Validation Tool). This application comes with some example scripts and also a help file for DICOM Scripts.
