I'm attempting to query my DICOM MWL and get the returned results. I've tried using RIS emulator but I only find it "listening." I'd also like to be able to filter on certain tags. Can do this with Jdicom but can't save the results there. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

If you've configured the AE Tiltle, IP Addr, Port number of RIS Emulator, your SCU should be able to set up association. I can't guess anything why it's not responding. First select the mode and then start the emulator.

Try again with proper configuration and if it doesn't work then send me all details.

Regards,

Piyush

Piyush, I've begun messing with the Modality emulator and this may provide the means for what I'm attempting to do. I will read the user manual - in my query for worklist I want to filter for certain items.

Piyush, Great news. Modality Emulator is exactly what I'm looking for in being able to make a query on my production worklist. The only problem that remains is how to NOT request certain tags, particularly ones that may hold a procedure code (like 0032-1064). I'm unable to modify anything in the tab for 'Worklist Query.' Basically, I need to see what the real RIS system is returning when I don't request a procedure code.

Hi,

You should be able to modify worklist query on the tab u mentioned. It's a Editor control and allows user to modify attribute values, add/delete attributes. You can also supply your C-FIND RQ message in the form of DICOM file and select the one in using Editor control.

pl try it and get back to me.

Regards,

Piyush

Piyush,
I can modify the existing values but cannot add/delete an attribute, which is what I really need to be able to do.

Hi,

You can add/delete attributes same as in DICOM Editor tool. Just right click the row in the attribute grid then you'll find the option to add/delete attribute. For deleting the particular attribute, right click the attribute row and click 'Delete attribute' context menu. I hope this will work.

Regards,

Piyush
